You might've seen number of Our community officers and our colleagues from Central Bedfordshire Council in your area today. 

As part of our operation Sceptre, the officers were searching area near playgrounds and alleyways to look for any possible hidden weapons and knives. 

All of You see the media updates with regards to stabbing etc and I will be the first to admit that this is an issue that we can only solve together as community. 

If you know anyone who carries a knife let us know, You never know - you might be able to save someone's life. 

And if you have any knives you are don't want any more, We have knife bins located in few places and we dispose of all the knife that are dropped there safely, to ensure that they never get used as a weapon.
